When will the Games be held?
The 25th edition of the Arctic Winter Games will be held March 18-24, 2018.
Which sports are involved?
The 2018 Arctic Winter Games is currently set to feature 19 sports, in four categories:
- Arctic sports (eg high kick, kneel jump, arm pull)
- Dene games (eg finger pull, snowsnake, pole push)
- Dog mushing
- Biathlon ski
- Biathlon snowshoe
- Cross country skiing
- Table Tennis
- Figure skating
- Speed skating
How big will the Games be?
The games will have over 1,900 athletes, 250 officials, 100 cultural performers, and 2,000 volunteers.
Where are the games being held?
The AWGs are jointly hosted between the communities of Hay River and Fort Smith of the South Slave Region of the Northwest Territories.
